There was pandemonium, weekend, at Ikot Effanga Mkpa, a community on the outskirt of Calabar, Cross River State, when newly wedded couple, Mr. and Mrs. Kabiru Mohammed, aged 32 years and 27 years respectively, died as a result of generator emission in their rented apartment. The couple, according to reports, got married two months ago in Jos where they were domiciled before relocating to Cross River. The West Africa Examination Council WAEC 2017 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Results for School Candidates have been released. The head of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC made this known at a press briefing at the Council's office in Yaba Lagos. According to him, out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, 1,471,151 (One Million Four Hundred and Seventy One Thousand One Hundred and Fifty One) candidates, representing 94.36% have their results fully processed and released, while 95,734 (Ninety Five Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four) candidates, representing 5.64% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors traceable to the candidates in the course of registration or writing the examination. Some 214,952 candidates cheated in the May-June West African Senior School Certificate Examination and their results have been seized by the authorities. People were left in serious shock after two women were filmed fighting with one going unclad in public after an argument.   In a trending video shared online, one of the women removed her top to fight the other landing serious blows. The steering committee of Karama central mosque in Daura, Katsina State, has received a plot of land to construct an e-library to facilitate research by students in the area. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) last Saturday disclosed that it will henceforth ensure it resolve all issues concerning the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination before releasing the results. Eight people were killed on Monday when a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives at a mosque in northeast Nigeria, in the latest attack in the restive region.
